Owners, has anyone stayed here since Katrina?

Owners. has anyone stayed here since Katrina? How is it? The staff? Do you notice any difference from before?

We have rented twice to a couple who absolutely loved staying there in 2007 and 2008 - on 4 separate visits. I have not visited the property yet, but I feel confident in offering it for rent.

Yes, my "girlfriends" (60s-70s!) and I stayed last 12/11 as an exchange/ts. Really liked it-service was exceptional; location very good (I am familiar w/NOLA so that helps). Also came in on Amtrak-then taxi's extra polite and helpful. Even people on the street are so FRIENDly and helpful - maybe our age has something to do w/it. I definitely wd return; just used Westin this past wk and it was very nice w/instruction sheets in rms for clients to BE QUIET which I appreciate having stayed often at some of the compted casino hotels and had to call security. All this is after Katrina so we were very plsd; even met a chef (off duty) and used his advice for a "non-touristy" restaurant at the end of the trolley run. Recommend Avenue Plaza and NOLA.
