Complaints about VIP program of Hilton Grand Vacation Club

I accidentally fall into this trap and signed the contract of this VIP program in Dec 2007 when I attended a timeshare talk at HGVC in Las Vegas. They offer me to go to one of their resorts for a week for ~ $1700 within the next 15 months. At that moment, I thought it's just like to plan a future vacation with the hotel company but I wasn't aware their cancellation policies which the staff didn't go through with me. I paid them in advance by credit card and only found out about a week later that I can't cancel it even though I haven't made any booking yet. They said according to the contract, they have to charge me $500 dollars for the cost. I have never heard about someone paying a cancellation fee $500 of an unconfirmed vacation. I think it's one of the way HGVC make their money. I would like to complain about this but doesn't know where to go. Does anyone has any idea or recommendation ?

Never buy Hilton ownership. Units are conveniently never available, and EVERYTHING requires fees. They nickel and dime you on everything. I've had my ownership for 2 years, and have never been able to use it, although I've tried on at least ten different dates!

What does this have to do with the Bay Club? There is no mention of the Bay Club in this review.

You can NEVER get the booking you want regardless of when you call. I finally gave up and told one of the callers to please stop calling me and reminded her they were no more than scammers.

I have also got into this trap of VIP program and was never able to use it. I took this program in Jan 2024 for ~$1700 and I wanted to cancel my plan due to VISA issues and they were not ready to help or cancel the program. Even though they know that I have VISA problem and can't use their program. They response I got from them is to use it before I leave the country. So, now I have to think of using this program before I leave the country. Such a pain and frustration for booking a vacation in their resorts and thinking to visit again.

Please make people aware of this scam by HILTON GRAND VACATION CLUB and not get into this trap.

I PURCHASED THE HILTON VACA PACKAGE IN JUNE - PAY MONTHLY - HAVE REQUESTED FOR 3 MONTHS TO USE A DIFFERENT CREDIT CARD - THE CONTINUE TO TAKE OFF A PAID OFF CREDIT CARD. I HAVE CALLED 4X AS OF TODAY AND EVERYONE SAYS THE SAME THING - NO MANAGER IS AVAILABLE TO SPEAK WITH THEY ARE IN MEETING 24/7, CAN'T SPEAK TO THE LOAN DEPARTMENT TO GET CLARIFICATION, ONLY PEOPLE YOU CAN SPEAK TO ARE REPS THAT WORK FROM HOME. ONE PUT ME ON HOLD TODAY 10/08/2025 FOR OVER AN HOUR UNTIL I HUNG UP - DO NOT PURCHASE THERE VACATION PACKAGE. I WILL BE HAVING MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER CHANGED SO THEY CAN TAKE ANYMORE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT. THEY SUCK REAL BAD
