Is a non-flexible Thanksgiving week a good or bad purchase in general?

Mar 22, 2008

Interested in a time share re-sale in Captiva Florida. We liked the Thanksgiving week because over the next 10 years our kids will have fall break around this holiday. If we wanted to trade this time for another time of year in another resort, are we purchasing a bad week? Thanks

I think it's a great week to purchase as it's a holiday week (holiday weeks are always good choices to purchase) and Captiva Island is one of the most sought after locations in Florida as is Sanibel Island. It should be an excellent trader as well. Hopefully you're looking to buy a resale.

Most all of south Florida (and most other parts of Florida except for parts of northern Florida and the panhandle) is considered red all year long, however there are different shades of red depending on season owned, but yes, I would think a Thanksgiving owned week on Captiva Island would be considered a bright red week as would most holiday weeks.
