I sold my timeshre through a bancruptcy hearing

I sold my timeshre through a bancruptcy hearing 4 years ago and now i am getting phone calls on my cell and home phone from companys that want to help me sell it . I even got a call from rci who i havent been a member since then either. How do i stop the calls and get what ever source they use to update their info?

The main thing you need to do is put those telephone numbers on your 'Do Not Call' registry .... if they continue to harrass you they can be fined.

I know this is probably not the answer you're looking for because you're understandably getting annoyed with these phone calls. But under your circumstances, I would have a little "fun" and ask "How did you know that I own a timeshare?" and see what the response would be.

Since you don't own a timeshare, likely the caller would have to tell a lie then you could really expose him and his fraudulent operation.

Just a thought.

how is an individual able to sell a timeshare during a bankruptcy hearing??, do you have to have an attorney available to complete this task??

contact RCI directly, give them all the information they ask for. Since the are the #l timeshare exchange system, they should be able to assist you. All the other's are usually a street hustle. It is an unkind world under the best of circumstances, when dealing in the dark and murky world of timeshare transactions, the situation is just compounded. also request the names of the attorneys involved, the court that handled the bankruptcy and every other minute detail that comes. to mind. When you get some names, places dates etc, contact the attorney general's office of the state where the property is located, and start the formal complaint procedure. you will be surprised how fast these timeshare hustles react when the law gets involved.
