Marriott St Kitts deed transfer - We need someone to do the deed transfer!

Jun 29, 2012

We have waited almost 2 years for the seller to obtain the actual deed from their Marriott St Kitts timeshare. They just received it. (The actual deed is gigantic) We need someone to finish the deal for us and transfer the deed into me and my wife's name. We have been using the the sellers timeshare for two years until they received the deed. The timeshare is paid off and we have been paying the maintenance and taxes (And using the timeshare) until they received the deed.

We thought that we were going to use a local attorney in St Kitts. It was going to cost about $1000 when the seller contacted the attorney 2 years ago but he has become unresponsive. I even went to his office a few times when we were there last year but he wasn't in any time I was there but there were people waiting for him. (His office is located at the circus--It's a place in town, not an actual circus) I didn't want to wait around during my vacation when his secretary didn't know when he was expected in.

Has anyone done a deed transfer for Marriott St Kitts? If so, who did you use and the approx cost.

Thanks in advance!

Ralph

I was sent a Marriott Vacation Club, "External Transfer Form'" to transfer title from one owner to another...with a fee schedule showing $25 for any MVCI or Horizons property transfer.

Unfortunately attachments of the recorded deed are required...I was told by the sender it was all I needed to arrange for the new owner to receive their copy of the title from St Kitts.

Problem, like you I have waited for well over 6 months since having paid it off and haven't received the deed yet. I did get an acknowledgement of pay off. But without the deed I cannot copy the necessary paperwork required to transfer it.

In St. Kitts, they're not too well organized.

What entity sent you the acknowledgement of payoff? You need to hound this entity relentlessly until you get your deed.
