Interval Week for sale

Dec 12, 2012

Is there a way to list a week for rent that has been banked in Internval International? It is good anywhere interval is if the week is available!

My understanding is that once you bank a week with any exchange company, that week belongs to the exchange company so you can't rent it out because it's no longer yours to rent out.

All you can do is acquire a week from the exchange company. Neither Interval International nor RCI allows weeks that you acquire via exchange to be rented out.

2. Guest Certificate -

A certificate purchased from RCI and presented to the provider of accommodations or Points Partner inventory enabling Members to give the use of a specified number of RCI Points, a confirmation or certain other benefits of membership, as RCI in its discretion may permit from time to time, as a gift to non-member friends or family members age 21 or older.

This was on the RCI Site on Renting for friends.

A guest certificate is a gift for family or friends and not for commercial purposes (used for profit). If you are caught using a guest certificate for profit such as renting out exchanges then your account can be suspended ASAP by both RCI and II and most of the independents.

Added to say that the only compensation that can be reimbursed to the owner that is using a guest certificate is the exchange fee and guest certificate fee (which someone in another thread said was $200 for the exchange and $75 for the guest certificate .... don't know if the fees are the same for both II and RCI ).
