Are dates for renting movable

Hi,

I have never rented timeshares. As I am looking through rentals available, dates are not exact match (mismatch by a 1-2 days). Is it something that owners can move and accommodate?

What the owner(s) might have is a floating week as opposed to a fixed week. They might be able to book one of many different weeks and also some resorts have different check-in days of the week, usually anywhere from Friday to Sunday.

All of this is based, of course, on availability at the resort. When it has floating weeks, the more desirable weeks are scooped up quickly.

It is usually not easy for someone to move the dates and in the case of fixed weeks may be impossible. In some cases owners can change the dates but there may be a fee involved. You can always ask if the dates can be moved but in more cases than not the answer will be no. In cases where it can be moved the earlier you ask the more likely there will be availability to change the points or floating period.

As tracey stated fixed week dates cannot be moved .... if an owner owns a point or floating system, it may be possible to change dates but that would have to be verified with the owner.
