First let me say that the front desk staff and housekeeping staff were all very friendly. Check in was very efficient. Location is very good - great for getting into colonial Williamsburg and for Jamestown and Yorktown. We did find some toys left from the previous occupant under the chairs in the living room. We didn't have any baking sheets to use in the oven but when I called the front desk they promptly brought them over. Pool was closed when we were there but it looked like a very nice area. We were in a three bedroom/two bath unit and it was just my husband and I. I have to say that the layout in the kitchen/living room area is very strange. They have a massive table in the kitchen and two very large bench style seating with high backs on them. They were very cumbersome and to large for the space. If you were sitting in them you could barely open the oven door or work in the kitchen space. Also made the layout in the living room strange. Suppose to sleep eight in this unit and I think it would be uncomfortable for even six. We moved the two large benches into different areas and it was much more comfortable. Bedrooms were all nice sized and we found the beds very comfortable. We were on the first floor and there is a walking trail right outside the door so make sure you are aware and close the drapes for privacy. Noise was also a concern we could hear a lot of noise from upstairs but thankfully not after 11. If there were a large group above you I think it would be a problem. I probably would request to have the top unit if I were to return. Overall this is a good choice if you are in the Williamsburg area.

I was at this resort the first year that Bluegreen took over management and it was not quite up to their standards. They were in the process of building, landscaping, maintenance upgrades, etc. I still rate it a 4 to 4.5 at the time I was there. We had a great time. The pool is great for kids, and what a better evening than to float in the pool and watch the fireworks from Busch Gardens, which is across the street.
