Island Links Resort Reviews & Ratings

Island Links has been under renovation in 2004. The club house has been completed and all units are scheduled for completion by February 2005. All renovations are in allignment with an RCI Gold Crown standard. The timeshare comes with free golf greens fees and tennis, as well as access to amenities at the nearby Westin. It is definitiely an improved timeshare and worth a visit.

We stayed at island Links October 2003 and found the area quite serene and beautiful -- many mature trees and the landscaping was lovely. We would definitely return.

Nice place. The units are very nice as well as the grounds, which are nestled among the pines of Hilton Head. Quiet and peaceful area.

My wife and I recently stayed at Island Links and hate to say, we were disappointed. Our unit was situated immediately in front of the main dumpster (in plain view) for the area. When we arrived (very late at night) it was overflowing. And by the time we left at the end of the week, the smell was unbearable.

The unit itself (2 bedroom) was very nice, clean and roomy but the view from the balcony left a bit to be desired. We overlooked an old foundation (looked like it was meant for another group of units but was abandoned, with overgrowth, etc.) There were other units in different stages of construction on the opposite side that looked like they were in various stages of construction - again abandoned. When I went to use the gas grill for one meal (there were 2) 1 was out of order and the other had no propane - tank was empty. I am still mystified on how this resort (?) rated the RCI GOLD CROWN and Interval Five Star status.

To rap it up, I liked Hilton Head (bought at another timeshare while there) but will not return to Island Links.
