  • White beaches lined with pine trees stretch for miles along the coast of Florida's Anna Maria Island, the site of Resort Sixty-Six. In addition to a magnificent Gulf-front location, this beautiful resort offers a high-end dinner-only restaurant, barbecue grills and picnic area, outdoor pool, and whirlpool hot tub. Boat charters and rentals are available at local marinas conveniently located within walking distance.

At Resort Sixty-Six, you have the option of a studio equipped to sleep up to two or a one-bedroom offered in confirmations accommodating either four or six. All units offer full kitchens and are fully decked out in a style that evokes Florida's laid-back, sun-soaked charm and hospitality. Many rooms overlook a picturesque courtyard blooming with palms, hibiscus and native grasses, while beachfront villas come with private screened-in porches with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Anna Maria Island has many charms, in addition to its gleaming white beaches. It has a thriving arts community, with a performing arts group, a chorus and orchestra, and several visual arts associations. It is also known as the 'Wedding Capital of Florida'and offers special services and hosts an annual wedding festival. At a bird sanctuary, you just may spot many species of exotic birds. Sea turtles, manatees, and bottle-nosed dolphins are also known to make an appearance!

This resort is the perfect place for relaxation. Beautiful beach, not overcrowded, plenty of space for couples and families too. Fantastic sunsets, soft white sand and sparkling clear water at your doorstep. This resort is by far one of the most friendliest resorts I have visited, both the staff and the guests. The FREE trolley on the island to get you around is a plus, no driving and no gas required. The trolley gets you to all the hot spots from the grocery to the beaches. I found this place by accident and fell in love with it.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom unit on 2nd floor overlooking the outdoor whirlpool below and pool area -- the week before Christmas 2010. The great white sand beach is only steps away, the 1 bedroom unit was very roomy with large bedroom closet, hall closet, nice furniture, etc. Kitchen was great for cooking. It was quiet the week before Christmas so I enjoyed the heated pool and whirlpool peacefully. They were great and cleaned nightly! Felt safe - there was a night guard watching everything. Anna Maria Island is laid back and lovely -- lots of rentals, some churches, some small shops by the Pier Cafe, a great historic beach restaurant 30 mins. walk up the beach with indoor or outdoor seating to sit and watch the BLUE water and get sun. Clean small resort and clean, white sand beach - just loved my stay.

This is a small friendly resort . Nice pool and gas grills if you want to cook outdoors. The beach is only a few steps away. The staff are extremely friendly and our room was spotless. We stayed in a studio with a hideaway bed. If we left the bed down things were a little tight for space ,but otherwise a nice place to stay. Anna Maria Island is beautiful. Very tropical with lots of restaurants nearby. dalek14

Small resort. Very clean and well kept. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Located right on the beach and in a residental area of single family homes. Nice place to ride a bike or walk. Quiet area.

We traded into Resort Sixty-Six two years ago and enjoyed our stay very much. The beach was beautiful and pristine. Our unit over looking the Gulf had a breath taking view! The two screened porches adjoining the living room and bedroom made it easy to view the magnificent sunsets. We would highly recommend this resort!
