This is a great resort in a perect location for vacation. Beautiful rooms, daily maid service great ocean views and the staff is wonderful.

I do have to disagree with the descripion that redweek has about the resort being mandatory all inclusive. Many of the original timeshare contracts are OPTIONAL all inclusive. Check with the peson you're renting from. If you don't have to take the AI, you can enjoy all the great restaurants in Aruba and still stay in these beautiful units.

Staying in the Royal Club at Barcelo Aruba is the best way to experience Palm Beach in Aruba. Top notch service, Top shelf spirits and beautiful ocean views in a nicely furnished suite - it’s the only way to go!

Excellent location on the beach. Very good restaurants onsite. Service quality is #1.

We absolutely love the Barcelo!!! It is our home away from home. The staff are more than just staff to us, they are family. Their section of the beach is beautiful and always kept clean. This is very hard for us, to sell our beautiful studio, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we feel we should. Hopefully someone will enjoy a love for the people, the island and the hotel as much as we do.

Perfect location and steps from the beach. Loved the swim up bar, bartenders and view from my balcony!

Perfectly situated on Palm Beach, close to all restaurants and amenities. This unit is one bedroom supreme - one separate bedroom with king bed and full bath - another room with living room, dining area and full kitchen - two terraces - OCEAN FRONT

Sits directly on Palm beach, palapas are first come first serve. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping. Short cab right from airport.

We have owned a timeshare at the Barcelo Aruba for almost 15 years now. The grounds, staff and restaurants are awesome. We love our One Bedroom Deluxe unit as we have two full bathrooms and two balconies always with an Ocean view.

Over the years we have taken our kids. They loved the kids club! I always felt they had a safe and welcoming place to get out of the sun and the same employees have run the club so trust has been built over the years.

We could not beat the location close to lots of shopping and restaurants. We love Aruba too for its amazing weather and upbeat happy vibe.

We recently visited in November 2021. Even though things were slightly different for all visitors coming to the island at that time, the Barcelo First Club made our stay great. Thankful for the Barcelo Aruba for making every stay amazing. We can’t wait to return.

We first visited Aruba and stayed at the Occidental in 2007. We have been back twice since and recently booked another stay. Each time has been outstanding. A very nice variety of food selections. Wonderful stay. beautiful location and amenities. We have utilized the Royal Club each time and it lives up to its name by giving you the "royal treatment". Separate concierge for check in/out, private palapa and bar area, added dining choices, pick up and drop off service from the airport, the list goes on. The all-inclusive is worth the price if you enjoy indulging and imbibing. We can't wait to be there again!

This is my absolute favorite out of them. My wife and I have been to the Radisson, Windham, Hilton, Marriott, and the Divi Divi. It's a big family here in the perfect spot on the beach. It's affordable and completely remodeled so everything is top notch without spending every cent you have. It has it's own casino that you can actually sit down and play black Jack. Just love it!!

We stayed at Occidental in May 2009. It was just fabulous! We were in a suite on the 9th floor facing the pool/ocean. We did not take the all-inclusive, as we've been to Aruba many times & prefer to go to our favorite restaurants (Flying Fishbone, Screaming Eagle, Madame Jeanette's, El Gaucho) instead of paying for all-inclusive & then paying more to go out at night to different places. It works for us this way. However, we ate at the restaurant on the beach a couple of times (buffet daily) and it was great. The service was also excellent & the room was spotless! Our maid was very accommodating if we needed anything extra. What can I say about the beach here ... one of the best on the island. We do own a timeshare in the states, but did not exchange it into here. Instead we rented from an owner (on Redweek) with no glitches at all. In fact, it was so great here that we've already booked with the same owner to come back in Oct 2009! We will save our timeshare weeks for 2010.

We also put our friends in touch with Redweek & this resort, and they ended up renting the 1st week in June here from the same owner & absolutely loved it. It was their 1st time in Aruba, so the Occidental was a great place to start.

One last thing, if you want a good beach spot (in front), you do have to get out by 6-6:30 a.m. Otherwise, most of those spots are taken like all the other resorts. The pool also fills up early. My husband is an early riser & liked getting his coffee at the Dunkin on the beach & would then read the newspaper or take an early morning walk until I rolled out of bed.

Everyone should experience this place!!
