Very enjoyable in March 2005. Not sure if the summer would be bearable. Nice place, friendly staff, but a bit pushy in trying to get you to tour the place for timeshare purposes. i guess that goes with the territory. We declined after 3 attempts by the concierge. Overall great vacation, though. Rooms very nice and updated!!

We stayed in Unit 111 with a lock off the week of Oct. 3 thru 10, 2004. The 2 bedroom setup was perfect for my wife and I in the main unit and my son in law and family in the lock off. The resort is in excellent shape, including furniture etc, well equiped and close to stores, restaurants etc. The staff was very cordial, no push to sell (I confronted them immediately upon arrival) I had the air conditioner stop and needed it reset. By the time I walked back from the front office, approx. 1 block, maint had already been there and fixed the problem. This was my first trade and I was very impressed by the whole deal. I would highly recommend this resort. Excellent, excellent, excellent. The staff works at making you feel welcome, everyone, even out around the complex says hello.

Spent a week here on a rental in Nov 05. We were on the 3rd floor ---no elevator- that alone should have kicked them out of a 5 star resort. Villa Mirage is layed out like an apartment complex -- no view from the unit and buildings close together. The interior of the unit was very nice and the staff was helpful, Wouldn't go back or recommend.

This is the first time we stayed at a Sunterra property, and we really enjoyed it. We were in Scottsdale Sept 24-Oct 2. The 1 BR unit was large and well furnished, and my husband the cook said the kitchen was well stocked also. The place is kid friendly, but it was still pretty quiet. The grounds are lovely, the pool is really inviting, and the staff was helpful.

We did succumb to a timeshare presentation, but it gave us inexpensive accommodations in Sedona for 1 night, and we were going there anyway, so what the heck!

Our chief complaints were an uncomfortable mattress and those insufferable hard foam pillows we encounter everywhere these days.

We would definitely stay here again if our travels took us to Arizona.

The large studio turned out to be more than I expected with nice furniture and cabinetry, double-wide closet w/iron & board, large bathroom w/corner shower & full size vanity & closet. Nicely decorated studio had queen bed, 2 bdside tables, fold out couch w/coffee table, round dining table with 4 chairs, nice-sized half kitchen with dishes, toaster, blender, microwave, 5' tall refrigerator/freezer, sink, double sliding glass door to small covered balcony with small table & 2 chairs. Excellent pool with water fall at one end and triple whirlpool beside. Pool is by clubhouse and 2 tennis courts & a building with small shop, weight room & equipment room (2 treadmills etc). Lovely grounds. Friendly front desk & helpful housekeeping staff when I had questions. Nice grounds for walking. A separate triple whirlpool is located between one group of buildings with small waterfall. Gas BBQs are scattered throughout for grilling under the trees. Great location in quiet northeast Scottsdale. Scottsdale Princess Resort to south and open desert to north (no noisy highways closeby). Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West is just east on the mountainside for touring. Numerous shops and restaurants south and southwest. New mall complexes north and northwest off of Hwy 101. Not 5 stars but above average to be sure. Stayed away from 2 women concierge workers-- one talking loudly upon my arrival was trying to get me to come over to her desk by asking me loud questions across the lobby like "how long is your stay?" "are you here alone or with others?" "where are you from?" Other people in the lobby could hear everything so I didn't give much info for safety reasons. That was embarrassing. She asked loudly if I wanted to schedule a meeting (or whatever - which I knew would be a timeshare speel) and at this point I'd had enough and told her I was on vacation so of course I DID NOT want to schedule "meetings" or anything else on my calendar! All pluses at this resort except for the concierce experience.

We stayed a the Villa Mirage from the end of December thru New Years. The Resort was not what we expected compared to other Five Star Resorts we usually stay at or compared to our Home Resort.

The activities were expensive, but the staff was wonderful with children. There weren't any activities like hiking, touring, golf, etc. Local phone calls were charged a fee/call. There was no high speed internet service available anywhere at the Resort.

The one-bedroom villas are large and well equipped. The housekeeping staff is excellent. The fitness center, swimming pool, and hot tubs are great.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. Our two bedroom lockout unit was very large and beautifully decorated. It was completely stocked with everything we needed for our stay. They have much to offer at this resort from their pool and spa to tennis courts to exercise room, etc. The rooms and grounds are kept very clean. There are many restaurants and shops nearby so the location is great. We would definitely stay here again!! We had a great time!!

Just back from a traded week, in one of the smaller lockout units. It was nice, with a partial kitchen and a dining area, which was more than we expected in the studio. Clean, well decorated, pleasant surroundings, tennis, pool, jacuzzi, barbecue, activities if you wanted to hang around the resort rather than going sightseeing. The only annoyance was the concierge's refusal to take no thank you for an answer to attend their 90 minute pitch. Got daily calls and messages offering us "free gifts" if we would just attend. Have no idea what the gifts were because not interested in attending a pitch on my vacation :)

Stayed here in early April 2003 -- very comfortable 2BR/2BA unit with courtyard & large spa outside & lovely pool area very close. Great location in upscale Scottsdale. Tons of topnotch golf courses, restaurants & shopping nearby. Would gladly return here.
