We have been owners at the Ridge - Terrace for 20 years and know that it is a great place to stay while in South Lake Tahoe. The complex includes restaurants, a spa, a fitness center with swimming pool, activities for all including tennis, racquetball, pool tables and table tennis and a small store. You will love staying at the Ridge.

We have stayed for two weeks in a two bedroom apartment each summer at the Ridge for the past ten years. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. There are so many activities that one can enjoy both on the property and off. There is never enough time for them all. We look forward to visiting every summer.

I’ve owned this timeshare since it was built. Over the years they have maintained and renovated it so that our visits feel fresh and new every year. We love being on the top of heavenly mountain, with the breathtaking views of the valley and the easy access to skiing in the winter months. Summertime brings a whole other flavor to our visits with boating, golf, sightseeing, hiking etc. Lake Tahoe is a year round treasure

We have stayed at this resort numerous times in several of the buildings and have always been impressed by the spaciousness of the rooms and the great service of the staff. We are only selling because we prefer to use our Hawaii timeshare.

We love our timeshare unit at the Tower building, it's right across the street from the club house were everything is located. No having to walk up a hill in the cold and snow. The market place is another thing that's great to have handy incase you might forget to bring something from home. The views are beautiful from the balcony, and my husband loves to take pictures with the new camera I got him for Christmas. Take advantage of our unit, I know you'll love it. Enjoy!

"SOARING ABOVE THE THE TREE TOPS"

We spent a timeshare Getaway week in the Plaza building Room 2716. Our view from the 7th floor was amazing. A 180 degree view of the Carson Valley sometimes disappeared as we viewed cloudy skies BELOW us. Towering trees with birds flying by, also BELOW us. WOW Our room consisted of two bedrooms and two baths. The full kitchen supplied everything required to prepare meals for a week. The room was supplied with a portable swamp cooler in the living area. A smaller one was in the lock-off. They worked great during the sunny afternoons. The windows will open slightly for some fresh air. We were told that the coolers are in all the Plaza rooms. The Plaza building was upgraded two seasons ago. The Cascade building will start upgrading in April 2017. The Tower building has been upgraded and rooms have a very small balcony. We experienced two small maintenance issues, and before we could hang up the phone Cole or Michael were knocking on our door. We attended the presentation, as seniors, this is the only time we are paid an hourly rate :), 45 minutes for a crisp $100 bill.

South Lake Tahoe has so many places to stay but our family only comes back to this great resort. It is a fun place and we can't wait to come back there year after year. we really like that they have busses that go to town so often and in the snow time we just use them instead of our car. Kids really enjoy the ride. The club house is great with a nice restaurant and deli. I think we stayed in all of the buildings but like Cascade most for the size and 2 jacuzzi in 2 bdr units, but I think it's the oldest one. The Plaza is great and kids like it more because of the jacuzzi on the roof top. The last time we stayed in Tower building and even though it was just across the Club House (very convenient), but room was smaller (but new), our unit did not have a balcony, so we were not so impressed. The front desk people are always trying to accommodate request and do not pressure about timeshare presentation. Because we already have timeshare in the different place, we are not buying anything in Ridge even thou it's a nice place to visit every year!!! We also like Nagle buildings because of the cabin theme and huge balcony. Overall, which ever building you get, you would enjoy it so much because you are in a beautiful Lake Tahoe settings and in at amazing Ridge Resort! Few times I bought a week of stay from Red Week and was very happy with the prices and transactions. We only stayed here in the winter time.

The Ridge is a Gem. We rented the Cascades 2 bedroom for the week and are enjoying every moment of our stay. Our 2 bedroom unit is large and I love the sunken bathtub and separate shower in the lock off unit as well as the jacuzzi bathtub in the main 1 bedroom. The kitchen has everything one could possibly ask for.

Its a quick walk to the Resort Activities Center, Knoll pool and main clubhouse with pool and fitness center. In addition up one floor brings you to the rooftop jacuzzis and dry sauna.

As a result of our amazing stay we bought a resale week on Redweek.com. Don't listen to the talk about buying points. We got a floating week that can be used between weeks 1-52 in a 2 bedroom Cascade Unit. I toured the Tower Unit and was not impressed due to the smaller bathtubs and the lock off having the jacuzzi should one want to rent the 1 bedroom they will be left without a jacuzzi. Other than that its a 5 star resort all the way from the Deli to the Hungry Bear Restaurant.

We just returned from a week stay at the Ridge. We rented our week here at Redweek.com. We were in the Plaza bldg. on the 6th floor. The condo was very nice, sleep number beds in both bedrooms (the second bedroom was a lock out), laundry in the unit, fireplace, etc. It was very clean and we didn't have any of the issues other reviewers had with checking in, staff, finding the resort, etc.

It snowed pretty heavily on Easter night and so we didn't have to put our chains on the car, we used the BlueGo shuttles and the resort shuttles. They were great, complimentary and came about every 10 minutes. We took them to the Boulder Lodge at Heavenly for our kids ski/ride lessons. We also took them into the casinos, the drivers told us where to wait and the best ways to get around.

My only complaints with the Ridge were in the spa/pool/locker room/fitness room area. The resort was crowded (it was our spring break) and the ladies locker room is very tight. Two of the four showers in the locker room did not work. There wasn't enough room to move around getting dressed or getting in and out of your locker. This is also the only rest room for the indoor/outdoor pool and the fitness room.

I did a few spa treatments and it is a little disjointed how you walk through the fitness room (after coming down stairs from the locker room) to go into the spa waiting room with racketball going on next door (all while you are in a spa robe and slippers). My massage and facial were great, but the atmosphere was not very spa-like. The locker rooms and spa could be upgraded.

My husband and son reserved the indoor basketball court a few times and they enjoyed that.

The Hungry Bear restaurant was good when it was open...I think Thurs-Sat. The deli was also decent, but it closed during the week from 2:30-5:30. We did get a take and bake pizza from the deli and it was good.

All in all, it was a great stay. You are truly on the ridge of the mountain. Beautiful views over the Carson valley and the surrounding mountains. It was especially pretty after the snow and everything was covered in white.

    I would stay there again.

We have stayed a this resort for two times recently. We traded through RCI & Interval International. We love the Ridge, and each time we got a chance to stay at the different building. The first time, during the Christmas week, we got to stay at the Naegle Building. It is an old building, but my husband and my son loved it because they have a big terrace. The second time we got to stay at the Plaza, a newer building. Overall we had a good experience there. The Resort is clean and well maintained. We love to come back again, and hopefully we can stay at the different building. I would recommend this Resort to everyone.

The Ridge Tahoe is not only the best in Lake Tahoe but at the top of our list anywhere!

We own the Naegle (summer months) and Tower (EOY) Prime.

We have traveled many places and had some nice places and have yet to stay in one nicer than the Naegle or Tower buildings at the Ridge.

Its on top of the mountain between Lake Tahoe and Carson City.

It is great too because your away from the main town area and you are within a 10 minute drive and your at the casino's and lake!

Love the Ridge Tahoe and the Naegle and Tower units!

During the summer (Naegle) most of time July 4th week and enjoy large patio and Tower unit in colder months with its little four foot patio.

We own two units only because we just didn't want to trade and not spend week here.

We have been here in the winter and played in the snow with the kids -- not big skiers. We have also been here during the summer and played in the pools. Definitely something for everyone.

I love the Ridge! We traded into it multiple times before we finally purchased our own unit there. The option of splitting the unit or splitting the week has been very useful over the years as our family has grown and our needs changed. I always appreciated that it was a gated resort, and I could let my older children enjoy the activities such as theater room, arcade, racquetball courts, pools, on their own, while calling me in my unit every hour from one of the many house phones. It is spectacular beauty every season of the year. There is enough to keep you busy day and night for years. I always love the snowshoe hike in winter (& summer sans snowshoes!) that yields views of the Carson Valley and Lake Tahoe. You will not be disappointed in this resort!

We own at The Ridge so we are very partial to this resort. We feel like we have been blessed by owning a little piece of Heaven on Earth. Our unit is in the Plaza Building and we have been able to reserve a valley view that gives you a breathtaking view of the entire Carson Valley from about 7,800'. We enjoyed having all of the comforts of home and found the housekeeping staff to be excellent. We even received a complimentary mid week cleaning which we have not experienced at other 5 star resorts that we have traded for. We certainly enjoyed the many activities also offered at The Ridge--cooking demonstrations by the head chef, wine tastings, tennis, beautiful pools, hiking, and The Plaza has 2 rooftop jacuzzies; one with a view of the Carson Valley and the other with a view of Lake Tahoe. We are finding out as we are trading and traveling around that we are having a hard time finding an area that we love as much as Lake Tahoe. It is such a unique are in that it has all of the natural beauty of the mountains and lake to enjoy many outdoor acitivites, but it also has the casinos which feature many great entertainers even if you aren't a gambler, many wonderful restaurants, concerts, and great shopping. So, there is never a lack of things to do and you get to experience both an outdoors type vacation along with many metropolitan activities. A couple of our favorite experiences were kayaking on Lake Tahoe and taking a breakfast cruise on one of the boats. Also, please do not miss going to Emerald Bay or taking the Heavenly Gondola. We hope that you will have a chance to visit The Ridge and experience a little piece of heaven. We look forward to returning real soon!

We had a wonderful week in the penthouse unit. Very relaxing environment. Well appointed unit with nearly every kitchen gadget imaginable. Easy to eat in and the on site dining was great too. Pools, putting green and parks were great for our children. I highly recommend this resort.
