This place is not the place to go if you are single! The average age was about 70. The villa I had was facing PB Rose and very secluded. I was traveling alone and felt very removed and isolated. The beds were not comfortable, towels were old, the airconditioning didn't work well and the place was musty and old. Even though I paid for the week and couldn't get a refund I moved to another hotel, Casa Dorada for four days. I couldn't take it anymore! I wouldn't recommend unless you are retired.

We stayed here in Feb 2007. As a previous reviewer wrote, don't exchange for a one BR unless you are sure you are not getting the "hotel", make sure it is one of the villas. Be ready for architecture that knows nothing of precision. Doorways and windows have open spaces all around. The mosquito nets are not just for looks. Nice place all in all, as long as you aren't looking for lavishness and can do without phones and TV. Restaurant onsite is good, but nothing can be billed to your room, a separate charge account must be created.

I toured this resort in Nov 2014 and found that the units are old, but attractive. It is built in the old style Mexican tradition and does not have the modern conveniences of the newer resorts. It has a good location, but there are much nicer places to stay in my opinion. Rooms have mosquito nets over the beds because there are many wall openings with no glass or screens. Not my kind of place. If you are accustomed to modern American conveniences, you won't find them at this resort.
