    # Marriott Vacation Club Playa Andalusia: A 15-Year Love Affair with Paradise

    ★★★★★ An Unparalleled Mediterranean Escape

After 15 consecutive years of vacationing at the Marriott Vacation Club in Playa Andalusia, I can confidently say this is nothing short of a Mediterranean dream come true. Our family has religiously used our four weeks annually, and each visit has been an extraordinary journey into the heart of Southern Spain's most captivating region.

    ## Location: A Gem Between Marbella and Puerto Banús

Nestled in the perfect coastal location, this resort offers an unrivaled base for exploring the Costa del Sol's most spectacular destinations. The proximity to both Marbella and Puerto Banús means you're always just moments away from world-class dining, pristine beaches, and glamorous marina life. Whether you're seeking luxury shopping, gourmet experiences, or simply soaking up the Mediterranean sun, this location delivers beyond expectations.

    ## Accommodations: Comfort Meets Luxury

The Marriott Vacation Club provides spacious, well-appointed units that feel like a home away from home. Each year, we've been impressed by the consistent quality, modern amenities, and attention to detail that make our stays comfortable and memorable.

    ## Exploration Opportunities: A Traveler's Paradise

What truly sets this location apart is the wealth of experiences within reach:

    - **White Villages (Pueblos Blancos)**: Explore the breathtaking mountain villages with their pristine white buildings, winding streets, and rich Andalusian culture. - **Ronda**: A must-visit destination that captured Hemingway's heart. This romantic town, perched dramatically on a deep gorge, offers stunning views, historic bullrings, and an atmosphere that transports you to another era. - **Málaga**: Conveniently accessible via Málaga Airport, this vibrant city offers a perfect blend of historical sites, world-class museums (including the Picasso Museum), and a bustling urban culture. - **Day Tours**: From our base, we've enjoyed incredible day trips to historic sites, natural parks, and charming towns that showcase the incredible diversity of Andalusia.

    ## Dining and Cuisine

The surrounding area is a gastronomic wonderland. From fresh seafood in coastal restaurants to traditional tapas in local taverns, every meal is an adventure. The resort's proximity to both local eateries and high-end restaurants ensures that every palate is satisfied.

    ## Personal Highlight: Consistency and Quality

What makes our 15-year relationship with this Marriott Vacation Club truly special is the unwavering quality and consistency. Year after year, we've been welcomed by the same warm hospitality, maintained facilities, and a sense of returning home.

    ## Practical Advantages

    - Easy airport access via Málaga - Perfect balance of resort comfort and exploration opportunities - Family-friendly environment - Proximity to some of Spain's most beautiful coastal and inland destinations

    ## Final Thoughts

For those seeking a Mediterranean vacation that offers more than just a beach holiday, the Marriott Vacation Club in Playa Andalusia is an unparalleled choice. It's not just a destination; it's a gateway to the rich, vibrant culture of Southern Spain.

**Recommendation:** An absolute must for travelers seeking a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and adventure.

We own six weeks' planting in Playa Andaluza and spend August here every year with our two children. It's an excellent, safe, clean, and beautiful resort near Puerto Banus and other Costa Del Sol areas. We are picky about vacations, but this resort always surpasses expectations, and our kids love spending time here. Lots for kids to do, spacious accommodation, great local food and very well kept.

This is very unusual for me to give a Marriott resort anything less than a 5 star rating. Playa Andaluza certainly gives you the touch of class you want and expect of the Marriott brand but there are too many disapointments to ignore.

The pools are not really big enough for the population size they need to serve, which gives a cramped and cluttered feeling in peak season. The layout of the pools is not ideal, the childrens pool at one side of the complex is about 3 foot deep (not deep enough to swim in) and the other pools are too deep for kids so you are left baking on the side while the kids play or vice versa.

There is no real evening entertainment and no on site restaurant. There is a nearby beach side restuarant with fantastic views but an expensive and limited menu.

The Marriott magic is missing from this one
