Wonderful resort but the info on this site is incorrect. The Kids Club is for ages 5-12 not 4-12 as listed here. They will ask for verification for kids claiming to be 5. There is a Caribbean Nanny service that the resort can refer you to for babysitters.

Beautiful property and gorgeous condos. We enjoyed our week very much. The beach is large enough for everyone to have plenty of room, you never felt crowed or heard any noise. The pool was also OK, but spent most of our time relaxing on the beach in the wonderful chairs under a palm tree. The only negative to this property is that the service is rather slow. You have to get on the "island time", which is rather hard for us.

Beautiful resort with lots to do. My kids prefered this over Atlantis. The resort overlooks St. John. They have a dive master on property for scuba with certification available. Hobie cats, kayaks, sunfish, snorkling, tennis, a large sailboat with a daily outings, spa, workout facility, Ritz kids program. The interior of the villas are made up of Italian marble and imported fabrics. Lots of restaurants to choose from and a couple of miles from Red Hook ( the ferry to St. John) We hop the ferry for dinner sometimes lots of fun.....

There is no place better on earth! From the moment you enter the grounds you a pampered! The resort provides fabulous views, fabulous beaches, health spas, gorgeous pools, plush furnishings and the incredible service the Ritz is famous for. Once you go there you will want to go back again next year. We are for sure!

We just returned from a week at the Ritz Carlton Club- St Thomas. What a disappointment. First of all, and beyond their control, the Sargassum seaweed has completely taken over the bay. The smell is nauseating at the beach, pool, restaurant and unit balconies although they are doing what they can to try to clean it up each day. The beach is completely eroded in front of the resort. The main hotel is closed until the end of the year which means several restaurants, the gym, spa, room service, pool are also closed. We did not learn of this until the week before travel. To make matters worse, on our first day of the stay my husband was told by the staff that the lounge chairs at the pool are all reserved for the "owners"and he could not sit there. Because we booked through a 3rd party we were treated like 2nd class citizens. This was insulting and rude. This was by no means a Ritz Carlton experience for us. The staff was friendly enough but the level of service WAS NOT there. I vowed to warn as many people as I could so their vacations (this was our 25th anniversary trip) would not be ruined as ours was.

Resort has mostly recovered from the 2017 hurricanes now. A couple restaurants are still closed, and the hotel side (vs. the Club side) is still operating under a non-Ritz name due to ongoing construction/recovery efforts. The hotel side pool is open but with no service. The beach for both the hotel and club sides is badly eroded, meaning it's mostly rocky. Apparently this is due to environmental testing of sand that needs to occur before new sand is laid down. Theyre about to open a kids' center. Many owners have sold since the hurricanes so I'd say this resort is in transition, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here - just temper your expectations a bit for 2019 travel.
