Have been to Cabo since the eighties- about 12 times. Have been on probably 6 timeshare tours over the years and stayed in most of the popular resorts- Pueblo Bonitos, -3 of them, Cabo Villas, Mayan, Estancia, Finnestera, Marina Fiesta, etc. Took a timeshare tour at the Hacienda Encantada because we were staying at their sister hotel The Marina Fiesta, downtown in the Golden Zone, and of course got offered all the usual perks for attending.
While I have said NO to 6 other presentations, I simply could not refuse this Resort. It is nothing like ANY hotel I have ever stayed at in Cabo- it is not a typical large hotel chain on the corrider. It is very upscale, filled with authentic Mexican furnishings, artwork, rugs, & fountains. The Suites are beautiful -either one King or 2 Doubles, full or mini kitchens, dining areas, ( some have sitting areas,) balconies, walk in showers, and double sinks in the bathroom (which anyone who has ever traveled with two can appreciate). The huge bathrooms have 2 windows that can open from the marble whirlpool tub into the bedroom- very romantic!
There are 3 pools (one an infinity and a swim-up bar), 3 restaurants, a spa, gym, a holistic spa, tennis courts, and it is right across from the #1 rated gold course in Latin America. They even have a huge fire pit area where you can join your friends in the evening.
Activites for both adults and kids, right near Costco and Wal Mart so you can stock up on necessities.
What intriqued me the most was the location- on a hilly bluff with a beautiful view overlooking the Sea of Cortez, very calming, and serene, yet just a hotel shuttle ( less than 10 minutes) away from downtown Cabo for nightlife and shopping. The resort is interesting architecturally as it is on a hillside, so they have golf carts to pick you up if you don't want to walk, but that helps burn off those margaritas!
Great resort with the best of both Worlds!
