Beautiful unti in desirable Fort Laiderdale Florida on the internet coastal highway. Close to fine shopping and dining. Short walk to the beautiful beach!! Lively area with plenty to see and do. Perfect for winter get away for couples or families with children. Full kitchen, sleeps six, with Floridian decor and more! Beautiful pool area.

The place is great! Clean, steps away from the beach, walkable to EVERYTHING. My ONLY issue, I stayed in what I guess was the studio of a larger unit, the “lock off”- and I heard LITERALLY everything that the guests in the next suite did... walking, conversations, coughing….everything. Thankfully, they seemed to only be in there to sleep, maybe on a business trip. They left the day before my last day and the next guests were the complete opposite 😩. Loud, jiggling the handle to MY room from inside their unit, LOUD.. thankfully, I only had to hear them one day. But.. my view was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful, place was CLEAN. The refrigerator/freezer wasn’t that cold…my ice cream melted.

Wonderful location. Close to everything. Resort has great amenities. Staff is very professional, polite and helpful. Great Concierge service.

We recently returned from our first week as owners. We purchased a 1 bedroom, one and a half bath unit on the 15th floor. We bought it sight unseen, relying on photos seen on the internet. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the unit is and how very clean it was. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture was comfortable and it had a more home like feel to it. The kitchen and bathrooms appear to have been updated recently. Views from the balcony of the intracoastal waterway and downtown Fort Lauderdale were beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped, everything we needed was there. The televisions both worked well. The resort is perfectly located. A beautiful beach is just a few minutes walk with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs along the way. A grocery store, mall and Starbucks is only a 5 minute car ride away. The resort is an older building, but it is well maintained. There is free parking, but you do want a smaller car as the spaces are small. There was always spaces available. There are 2 elevators and they are smaller in size, but there was never much of a wait to use them. The staff we spoke with were polite. There is a small pool and bar area, but we only visited it one time briefly because we prefer the beach. We enjoyed our week and look forward to returning next year.

UPDATED: 11/29/15:

New color scheme ... gone is the teal blue replaced with a sand color beige. New sofas and LR chairs in units. New owners' lounge with the BIGGER SCREEN TV plus seating for a small group. Moved the 2 public computers to a room with a glass door.

Met the new resort manager ... he is planning on a weekly coffee "Met & Greet" to met the owners!

Great time ... new Star's Deli is on the street towards the beach; Subway is in the strip facing the beach as is St Bart's, a Vegan dining place and the Irish Pub. Our favorite sports bar, The Parrot and the Corner ice cream shop .... has treats for the too young and us older guests. Just remember, 24/7 Pizza & Breakfast still on the corner.... munchies!

Resort has never looked better with the updated units. These are larger units than many other timeshares as it is not a converted motel/hotel. Free parking is available for one car.

I can honestly say that this resort has done a lot to improve since I bought the unit in 2007. I am very happy with my week 12 two BR timeshare.The owners association is realistic about the maintenance budget and planned up keep. The hotel provides a better experience every year. This isn't a Marriott but a financially manageable property a few hundred feet from the beach and access to a fancy shopping mall, restaurants and groceries.

I used again in 2015 and the facility just gets better-very pleased

We had a great time staying in the Penthouse - 18th floor, end unit. Great location, we watched yachts going up and down the intercoastal waterway. Beautiful views daytime and nighttime. Easy walk to the beach. Large unit with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable furniture and kitchen stocked with everything you need except food. We had plenty of linens, etc in the unit and ANITA was so kind to offer help with anything we needed. Thank you Edward Colameta for renting your unit to us and making the transaction so easy.

Have stayed here 3 times and loved it each time. Lovely place - easy walk to the beach. Restaurant on the property is actually very good. Nice views from both sides of the building. Very convenient to everything we want to do in Fort Lauderdale. Plenty of room in the one and two bedroom units. Highly recommend. We want to buy here after such good experiences.

Since our last visit in 2008, when we were not an owner, we noticed additional renovations to the resort including the sauna and restrooms, a newly opened spa and free WiFi in every unit. Our stay was most enjoyable and we went to the beach often as it is only a block away, used the pool, hot tub and sauna. In addition, we had drinks and burgers poolside, served by the bartender working the poolside bar. We took advantage of the discounted spa package for manicures, pedicures and massages but we did not use the fitness center (LOL) or the two computers located in the lobby as we had our own computers.

We stayed in our 2BR/2B lockout, unit #1205 from Jan. 8th - Jan. 15th which is located on the 12th floor at the southeast corner of the building with great views of the Atlantic Ocean. The furnishings were of higher quality then some other resorts. They used real sofa and chairs instead of the typical uncomfortable wicker furniture. There was a dinning room table that seats six, a murphy bed and pull out sofa. The king size bed in the lock off unit was a bit worn as it was high in the center, but sagged on the sides. I heard that they are currently replacing mattresses so hopefully next year this will not be of a concern. The living room had a TV with working remote and a DVD and VHS player. The two bedrooms both had working remotes and reception was good. The one issue was that there wasn't a TV guide available, either on the TV or a printout.

The kitchen had a full size refrigerator, full size stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and blender. A double sink with garbage disposal, spray hose and granite counter tops. The one thing that I noticed but was not a big issue was that it did not have an ice maker in the freezer. If you need lots of ice, there is an ice machine, which always had plenty of ice in it. There were able kitchen supplies and cleaning supplies to clean up.

No problems with check-in. Since we were leaving a different resort the morning of our check-in, we called the FLBR and asked if our room might be available early or at least a place to store our belongings until check-in. Rosa at the front desk advised me that our room was ready and we could check-in immediately. This was awesome as we moved from one resort to the next without any inconvenience, a huge plus. There was a sign posted for a safe fee of $2.00 per day or $10.00 per week. We were not charged this fee on this visit and I am assuming it was because we are owners now because in 2008 we were charged the $10.00 for the week. I believe this is just a fee that they get from RCI exchangers.

There was a 'First Date' event planned for Sunday morning by the concierge and activities director to discuss different events at the resort (mostly for adults, as I did not hear about kid activities), excursions to other destinations like Key West and the Bahamas. There were representatives from different companies like the Everglades Tours and the Duck Tour to sell their events which was nice. We took advantage of the 50% off coupon to visit the Bonnett museum and got information on the Water Taxi to see homes of the rich and famous and to sight see along the intracoastal waterways.

A vehicle is helpful to fully take advantage of the area but there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance. So if you want to walk to places, there are plenty but we enjoyed having a vehicle to travel to many more areas for the full exposure to Fort Lauderdale.

As this was our second visit to the FLBR and being an owner recently, we are throughly pleased with the resort and look forward to traveling to our unit next January 2012.

I purchased 2 units with ocean view in 2003. This Resort has come along way in the7 years since I have been an owner including new roof,windows,doors and elevators and now all the units have been totally renovated with new kitchens with granite countertops, baths, furniture, carpeting and drapes with very high end finish. The staff has always been extremely helpful and if you have children, they have wonderful daily activities poolside. The location is fabulous only minutes to some of the best restaurants, sites and Intercoastal Waterway. Walk across the street and your on the beach and there are several restaurants and shops on the way. I really enjoy staying here with my family as it has all the above and feels like home instead of a hotel room with 2 beds and a TV. It seems to only get better year after Year. Just got back from a great stay. Great Rooms and great location. We have stayed here many times and always enjoy ourselves. Walking or joging on Ft Lauderdale beach is really the best.

We just got back having rented from Frank Davis and really enjoyed our stay. Frank is easy to make arrangements with and very trustworthy.

The resort offers many activities and the beach is close by. As Frank advised, we highly recommend taking the water taxi for a "poor man's cruise". They are building up the area even more a block away but you never hear anything. There are stores and good food very nearby. The patio is very nice and there is a small view of the intracoastal waterway and some yachts. The beach is beautiful. The room comfortablly held five people with 2 bathrooms and one shower, full kitchen and nice dining area.

It is in a good location to use to see other areas nearby such as Lauderdale by the Sea and of course South Beach. We love Fort Lauderdale and are discussing our future plans which may include a cruise from Fort Lauderdale. Thanks Frank!

Just got back from staying 2 weeks late Jan. and early Feb. 2009. Units are clean and nicely decorated. Location 1 block from beach and a state park is just across Sunrise Blvd. I rented from Frank Davis who was excellent to do business with. Only suggestion I made to facility is they should have some gas grills for guests.

Excellent VIEWS and Great Location on Ft. Lauderdale Beach and Intercoastal waterway and Large Park area!! Close to everything!! Mall one block away!

All units newly remodeled with granite countertops and tiles. The whole resort just refurbished!

My husband and I and our two adult sons stayed here in a 1BR unit, 1508, which we rented from Frank Davis. The unit itself was clean, modern and very comfortable, spacious enough for four people. We were there over Christmas, and the kitchen had everything needed to cook a nice Christmas dinner. The views off the balcony are of the waterways, great sunsets. It is right near the state park, and a very short walk to the beach. There is a fun Irish pub just around the corner, and a small market with all of the necessities just across from the entrance to the resort. It is kind of a hike to the main part of the strip with all of the bars and restaurants, but we walked there several tines with no problems. The rental process went very smoothly and we had no problems. All of the staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. I was told that all of the units have now been refurbished, but they still have not updated the lobby or activities room, although that is in the works.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort exceeded our expectations.

My family of 4 spent a week back in March in a recently renovated 2 bedroom unit. We requested an unit facing the ocean but were told all were taken and got one on the tenth floor facing inland which turned out to also have nice views of the inter-coastal channels with nice boats. The lobby and common areas are not impressive but the unit is great: roomy, well equipped and nicely decorated.

There were activities every day that my two daughters enjoyed a lot. The pool is not big but adequate.

Within walking distance there are good spots such as a nice mall, the water-taxi, good restaurants and the beach.

A car is recommended so you can explore the surroundings: Miami, the Everglades, malls and other tourist attractions.

We enjoyed our vacation and highly recommend this resort.

We stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in Feb. 2008 in a 2-bedroom unit. We were travelling with another couple so the lockout unit was perfect. We both felt we had our own room and privacy (the second bedroom was a small studio). Both couples enjoyed the benefits of a large condo. The unit was nicely decorated and very spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the cruise ships sail out to sea.

We rented our unit from Frank & Angela Davis. They were very honest to deal with and they had everything arranged for us at time of check-in. We would definately put our trust in them for future rentals. Thanks for everything.
