rise in maintenance fees

Dec 12, 2006

Are there any others owners concerned about the increase in maintenance fees?

In looking over the budget the amount of monies going for administrative costs is very high. Does anyone know exactly what services are included in the contract with HGVC that should cost well over $600,000? With the other administrative expenses the total is over $1,000,000. This is extremely high when comparing with other timeshare we own.

There was a bulletin board so owners could contact one another but this was eliminated about the same time HGVC took over management.

We are eager to hear from other owners.

Reply: Maintenance fee's are approved by the Board and are casually increased. I once sat on the board of a Shell Vacations property and increases are done to keep the place running, as if no cost to them. Time share is for profit for the company, serving the owners appears to be there but there's the increases in maintenance. They answer to their superiors who need more $ for more inventory, property. Owners will one day have their class action law suit against these operaters.
