The units are located right next to each other. Surf club is a high rise and newer. Ocean club is low rise and much smaller. Both are to Marriott standards. Ocean club does not have access to lazy river or Surf club pools.

Ocean Club is much nicer. Surf Club is overcrowded with too many people for the size of their pool and beach. I would not stay there for free. Saw a fist fight over a pool chair! Ocean Club is the right size for pools(2) and beach. Want to get up at 6:00 am to get a spot at the beach-Surf Club is for you!

To simplify - Surf Club is newer and best suited for families or larger groups, Ocean Club is older and more suitable for young and older couples. Both properties are well maintained and renovated.

Ocean Club was the first Marriott Vacation Club property. As grand as it is there are only six floors. The Surf Club which is adjacent towers 12 floors and of course since it is newer you are treated to the lazy pool and other amenities which were not around with the Ocean Club was built.

Hello - can you tell me more about the beachfront area? Is the sand nice or is it hard? Are beach chairs available first come first serve and are there umbrellas?

Tnx
