The Windrifter Resort

Wolfeboro is a wonderful vacation spot, affectionately known as "America's oldest summer resort." And The Windrifter is such a fantastic way to experience it! Beautifully located on the Kingswood golf course with sweeping mountain views from the private balconies, the resort is just a short drive—or even walk—to the delightful shops and restaurants of downtown Wolfeboro. You're also minutes from pristine public beaches on Lake Wentworth and Lake Winnipesaukee. We love coming here for the Fourth of July. Watching the fireworks directly from our balcony and catching the town parade (truly one of the best in America) is an absolute highlight. But Wolfeboro has charms and treasures for every season, including fall foliage, winter skiing and ice fishing, and spring hiking at nearby Mount Major or Red Hill. Come to Wolfeboro, and stay at The Windrifter. You'll be so glad you did!

The resort is located in a quintessential New England town with lots of charm. Renovated in recent years. Friendly, helpful staff. Near sights, shopping, dining. Close to Lake Winnipesaukee and Lakes Region mountains. Driving distance to many things to do or just hang out at the resort and relax.

There are several building for this resort. My opinion is the Yacht Club is the most desirable location. It is about a mile from the main resort. There are only 8 units there and all are waterfront with dock rights. The main resort is where all the common amentities are located including a newly refurbished indoor pool. It is a basic resort with a great staff. Wolfeboro has a lovely small town atmosphere.

It's a shame that you can't have one rating for the units and one for the location. Wolfeboro is more than charming, and the rooms will do quite nicely.

We own a Yacht Club Unit for week 30, and would be interested in buying a week 31 Yacht Club unit.

Very dated. Rooms were small. Area is very nice, people were nice. Beautiful views!
