Our unit is a one bedroom condo that has a separate kitchen and an in-unit washer and dryer which is very convenient for a beach resort. It’s also a short walk to a large supermarket where you can buy great Dutch groceries. You can see an ocean from the balcony and it’s quiet because you cannot hear the noise from the pool. The territory is lovely and the beach is awesome.

This resort has regularly scheduled activities to enjoy for all age groups. Located on the quieter side of town, the beaches are less crowded and much more serene. Beautiful sunsets from local restaurants from the ground to 4 stories up. Live entertainment, games, and markets that come right to the center of the resort. On site restaurant with a casino just steps outside the gate.

Recently renovated! I've been so many times at this resort I can't get enough of it! It has beautiful pools (waterslide pool, adult pool, waterfall pool and children pool), a nice pizza restaurant, Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins, activities for kids, happy hour with live music, and conveniently near a Super Food grocery store, access to public transportation and the best is the proximity to one of the best beaches in the world (Eagle Beach)!

Beautiful and friendly place. We have been coming here year after year.

Beautiful resort with pools, food, drinks and walking distances to Super Food (groceries), a New Multi-Plex Cinema and a beach front (Eagle Beach) second to none - 2 miles of powder sand beach with gorgeous sunsets and friendly swimming waters.

Staff is very welcoming, very clean and totally renovated unit. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave/convection oven. Many restaurants short walking distance. Casino on premises additional casino short walk to. If you need ANYTHING the staff will take great care of you, many activities.

Excellent resort near eagle beach. Stellar service in an incredibly lush resort with three pools. Rooms are newly renovated and spacious.

After room renovations, the improvement is fantastic, also , during 2020 they went for pool renovations, now including an adult only pol, a kids pool. New restaurants, gym also renovated. As a plus, from several years including 2022, its beach, Eagle Beach, is considered the beach N°5 in the world, by Tripadvisor.

Have been to Aruba twice already and enjoyed staying at eagle aruba resort. Its very close to beach, provides good amenities and staff services. Plenty of choices of pool, pool slide, kids pool, hot tub which was my favorite to choose this resort. will be going again there soon!!

We stayed for 9 day in January

There was six of us stayed in a two bedroom suite on the second floor , Love the location and the unit was perfect for us had a full kitchen any two baths washer dryer in unit

We cook in the unit for all meals because there was so much of us to expensive to go out for every meal

We did go to the casino for Super Bowl. Sunday enjoyed our self

The beach is one of the best on the island

I have stayed at Tropicana for almost 20 years now in the same room. Have seen the good and bad and right now Tropicana is definitely looking lovely. The well needed updates that have taken place over the last few years continue to stand proud. Grounds are awesome, staff is very friendly, security visible, pools clean and plenty of chairs or shade available when I needed them. My bed is very comfortable and my room neat and clean. My family and friends will continue to stay at Tropicana and make memories that will last a lifetime!! Aruba here we come!

We stayed here in April, 2012. Not much going on, pool was closed. We had stayed twice before when it was part of La Cabana and it was busy and thriving (on the surface). This time the whole place was in need of updating and upgrading (like La Cabana has been doing for 5 yrs). Beds were old, as was the furniture, fixtures and flooring. We went to La Cabana for happy hour. The casino was still being renovated. At best, it was a stop-gap for an extra days' stay on our favorite island. Hopefully they will finish up on their reno plans and get back to what they once were. The staff was great!

We extended our stay from Costa Linda to the Tropicana.

The Tropicana used to be part of LaCabana and is in diar need of a rennovation. There were not a lot of acitivities and the resterauant was on the property but set way back in a former casino.

It was a down grade from Costa Linda but a place to stay none the less.

I would not stay here again unless I had no other options.

*****The great part about this Hotel/resort was that it was within walking distance to La Cabana so you could go over and enjoy their happy hour festivities....you just cant use their pool without paying a fee.

The Aruban Resort & Casino is now the Tropicana Resort & Casino. The old girl is coming to life. First impression is marvelous with pristine landscaping that has brought a classy, professional look that is the best I have seen in the 10 years I have been coming. The staff is the best I have experienced including taking initiatives without being asked.

While the rooms are in obvious need of an upgrade, management is taking the right approach of making sure the chillers are capable of providing sustainable airco, the roofs are replaced before extended damage is done due to leaks, the elevators are upgraded, etc. Management is emphasizing safety and customer comfort before trying to sell timeshares before necessary upgrades are finished.

Two areas needing improving are security and an increased supply of umbrellas and chairs to provide shade for the increasing number of customers. There are plenty of security personnel (mostly women) on the property, but there is need to require more patrolling (in golf carts if necessary) of the outer walkways and pools on a regular basis to make sure those using the limited lounges, etc. are from the resort; to prevent irresponsible users from leaving young children unattended; and to prevent kids on bikes from using the outer walkways to makes mischief and noise.

The three weeks I spent there were fun and relaxing resulting in the making of many friends of fellow vacationers and staff. Kudos to the staff and management. I look forward to continued improvement andf say thanks for a job well done. Jack

It is true that the plans for remodeling are impressive. I would recommend that anyone planning to stay here confirm that renovations have taken place in their unit before they buy a plane ticket. We had a reservation here last July and were very disappointed in the condition of the units. The furnishings were tired, the layout of the kitchen was poor, the beds were uncomfortable and the fire escape was so rusty that it would have been dangerous to use.
