Experienced hikers may want to attempt the climb to Mount Washington, which soars to an elevation of 6,288 feet. In winter, heavy snowfalls turn the White Mountains into a skiers and snowboarder's paradise. Also popular are cross country skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling in the area. During the warmer months, enjoy boating and fishing at one of the many lakes in the area.
