    Ashland, New Hampshire

Cold Spring Resort is an active person's dream come true. The resort offers an indoor pool as well as a full slate of outdoor recreation, including White Mountain Country Club's championship 18- hole golf course, and clay tennis courts nearby. Experienced hikers may want to attempt the climb to Mount Washington, which soars to an elevation of 6,288 feet. In winter, heavy snowfalls turn the White Mountains into a skiers and snowboarder's paradise. Also popular are cross country skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling in the area. During the warmer months, enjoy boating and fishing at one of the many lakes in the area.

Back to back weeks are hard to come by. Sleep 8 is hard to come by. One of the weeks is "Bike Week" New Hampshire is just gorgeous that time of year. $1500 per week. Low annual maintenance of only $667/yr. Plymouth State College, Squam Lake, and many more lakes abound and all nearby. Golf, indoor and outdoor pools. Wooded views.

Nice quiet place. We were there in Sept. of "08. The drives into the mountains were beautiful, colors weren't full yet, but that is ok. We could take the gondola to the top of a ski mountain and see the country side. It was beautiful. A nice ride up Washington Mt. was fun as the ride on the Cog Railroad. We visited quaint towns and lakes near by. We saw the place where On Golden Pond was filmed. Everyone was very friendly, no sales pressures. We are on vacation and hate sales pitches. The unit was quite nice, but a little redecorating could be of use. It is close enough to do a day trip to the ocean also. I recommend this place, we always go to places in the off season and this was a very nice find.

We were at the resort 7/24/09 thru 7/31/09. We had a fantastic time. The accomodations were very spacious (King Bed in one room) two twin beds and a queen sleep sofa with scenic views of the White Mountain country club golf course. We had a two bedroom townhouse style, with 1.5 baths. All the units have full kitchens and most have washers and dryers in the units! The Squam Lake are is beautiful and we will go back to have some fun on the Lakes, beach parking permits available at the front desk. Must go to Science and Nature center (lots of live rescued animals in their habitat and demonstrations in the outdoor ampitheatres} in Holderness great for children. The resort has many activities planned Monday thru Thursday including trips to Clark's trading post (Seasonal trained bear shows). We will go back to this place. The staff is great and very helpful. Great local restaurants, the Common Man, The Country Cow, Tilton Diner on the way home heading South. Story Land is a bit of a ride, but the Kancmagus highway is so scenic it's a joy.

We were there in late October and found it to be a lovely, quiet wooded setting. We had a large two bed-room unit on the second floor. It was clean and nicely furnished. We enjoyed the heated indoor 40 foot pool, the exercise room, and the one-mile trail through the woods. Staff is very friendly. The resort has its own 14 passenger van in which they take guests on day tours. We much enjoyed the tour of the Annheuser-Bush brewery. There are many good restaurants within just a few miles of the resort.
