Great location location location! Waikiki Beach is only a 5 minute walk from the resort. Restaurants, Starbucks, ABC store and a variety of shopping all around. Street level entertainment across the street. Overall 4 stars due to pool closed for repairs, allowed to use sister resort pool if desired. Valet parking is extra $$ Trip Advisor rates the Beach Walk as #2 out of 30 condos in Honolulu

Very nice resort in the heart of Waikiki located less than 5 minutes to the world-famous Waikiki Beach. There are many opportunities for first-class shopping and dining. Also close to public transportation that can take you all over the island to visit the many tourist attractions at very little cost.

Family stayed here in June of 2015 in a one bedroom unit. At that time several areas were under construction. The only jacuzzi was out of service and I was disappointed in the small pool, unusually deep pool (starts at 4 ft goes to 7ft.) for a family resort. I must say that the walking distance to everything including the beach is by far unbeatable hence not much time was spent at the pool. It was never overcrowded. The staff was great the rooms were clean but small. The balcony was tiny. With 2 adults and 2 teen boys in a one bedroom it was too small. If I ever stayed here again I would definitely get a two bedroom for the entire family.

I'm from Australia and holiday in Hawaii at least once a year. My family has been staying at the Wyndham Beach Walk for years now and we absolutely love it. Charles at the reception would have to be the best hospitality staffer I have ever encountered. Location is brilliant. Apartments are clean. Love it!

Stayed here in October to attend a meeting in the convention center. This location was excellent for getting anywhere in Honolulu. My husband and I visited some of the historical points of interest, enjoyed dining in a variety of restaurants, shopped, and only wished we had more time here before going off to Maui. The villa was truly deluxe. Due to booking late, we had to change from a presidential villa to a deluxe villa. Both were awesome in decor, views, and, of course location.

We just spent 3 nights here and had a great time. The location is just off the beach and there are great restaurants nearby. Fort Derussy park and beach, the International Marketplace, and the Royal Hawaiian are all a short walk away. Local car rentals make day trips to Pearl Harbor, Dole, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay or other attractions very easy.

We found this a great location with friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed here from Feb. 23 - 27, yes the 27th was the Tsunami alert day....staff was helpful and friendly and kept us informed of the situation...and no Tsunami. We stayed for 3 nights on our way to Maui just to check it out for the future. We did not get a car, so it was economical for us. This is a great location, right in the middle of everything. We walked all over Waikiki. We also took The Bus one day to the Hawaii Kai golf course (Beach Bus #23). We rented clubs and had a great day. The Bus ride is great...goes to all the tourist stops.

Our room was right in the middle of all the action so, not too peaceful, but Waikiki is for fun and noise. Nice resort, great staff.... This is best for a family or couple who use it mostly to regroup and rest, the pool is small and there is no restaurant, but just a few steps away Waikiki has everything....go here if you get the chance

Just got back from a 5 day stay at the Beachwalk in Waikiki!! This is our 3rd stay in this resort and it is well worth the money or if your an owner there, even better! Sure beats a hotel room for 2x the money with half the conveniences of a condo style room. We love it!! Right in the heart of all the action and just minutes to Waikiki Beach!! The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a new resort, so in excellent condition. We do not spend much time in the room, but they are very nice, with stove, fridge, microwave, washer and dryer!! What more could you ask for? The best eating place in Waikiki is just a few blocks away in the Outrigger Waikiki, Dukes Canoe Club, can't go to Waikiki without eating there more than once!! The Shore Bird is excellent also and is about a block away in the Outrigger Reef on the Beach, both beachside. Or you can choose from many other restuarants. Or can even eat in the room if you want to cook on vacation! Only complaint is the parking is $25.00 a day + tip. But you can rent cars by the day, just more expensive by daily use, + if you figure roundtrip transfers to and fro airport and the hassle. We've done both ways!!

Stayed here for one night, as I live on the island and merely wanted to check out the resort. Very spacious 2 bedroom unit, nicely appointed. Huge master bathroom, the living room was a bit crammed full of furniture - so I simply moved pieces off to the side. There is a small lanai that overlooks Lewers Street. Good people watching and offered fresh air without having to be in the more crowded common areas. Location is very centrally located to all things Waikiki - the Beachwalk is across the street and has eateries that run the gamut from burrgers to fine dining. FYI, Ruth Chris offers a happy hour that has a nice selection of appetizers/pupu pupus -not drinks. The resort is a few minutes walk from the beach, though I never understand why people would travel so far to lay so close to so many people! We have an island full of culture and unpopulated beaches that are far more beautiful and relaxing. To each his own. I have two gripes....very difficult to locate entrance - congested area, due to new and sprawling buildings, and dislike paying $20 to park my car + tip.

If you are visiting our island paradise...simply rent a car in the a.m. and drop at night to avoid parking fee. Enterprise will even come and pick you up -for FREE! Head out early and go east one day - Haunama Bay, Blow hole, Makapu'u point, Kailua Beach park and then back across the Pali hwy for amazing views! Go west and north another day, and explore the countryside - Pearl Harbor, Dole Pineapple, Happy Trails horse rides, Skydive Hawaii, Shark tours or surf lessons with Sunset Suzy or Brian Surrat.

I will go back to stay next time I want a staycation in Wakiki or will book my famiy/ohana knowing they will be very pleased.

We stayed in a wonderful two-bedroom unit, #824, for 8 nights, three of which we shared with our daughter, her husband and two young children. We were very pleased with the unit, the resort and its amenities. We agree with many of the comments already made - the Shore Bird is a great spot for dining, as well as the bar on the street side of the Outrigger Reef. We ordered pizza from the restaurant attached to the Wyndham as well as burgers from the Cheeseburger Cafe across the street on Lewers. The items were pricey but good. Our only complaint was the noise from Lewers Street in the early morning hours when patrons exited the bar in the resort, which stays open until 4:00 a.m. Try to get a floor up as high as possible in this resort and pack earplugs. You might opt for the quieter side of the building but it is not as scenic as looking at a parking lot. Lower rooms there do overlook the pool and garden, however. We really enjoyed the beach in front of the Fort DeRussy grounds as a wider beach, backed by green space.

Four of us stayed in a 2 bedroom deluxe unit on the third floor May 17 - 24. We were pleasently surprised by the large space and the attention to detail and comfort. The unit/apartment came with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We were never pressured to attend a timeshare presentation. The staff were, at all times curtious and professional. We stayed on the Lewers side and were treated to outdoor concerts - performed across the plaza. Yes, the washer/dryer were slow, but you don't have to stay in the room and watch the machines. ....go for dinner at the Shore Bird or the Cheesecake Factory. I did laundry three times and enjoyed the convience of not bringing home dirty laundry. We will stay at the Wyndham again and would recommend it to our friends and family.

This is a wonderful resort great accomodations in one of the best locations in Honolulu. There is plenty to do right outside your door. It is one half block from the beach and 1 block form the new Trump Tower. The Waikiki Beach Walk development offers upscale dining, shopping and and night clubbing right outside your door.... You will have a great time. Check out the area at http://www.waikikibeachwalk.com/.

We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe, unit 903, January 18-25, 2008. Pretty much what others have said I agree with. To add some new info, we were told the washer/dryer combo units were going to be pulled. No one likes them. The deluxe units have a seperate shower and jacuzzi tub. The standard have the shower in the bathtub. The deluxe units are also bigger. If you want to view the ocean get a room that ends in 02, such as room 902. You will have a view of the ocean from one lanai and a nice view of Lewers St. from another lanai. The king size bed was very comfortable. Nice flat panel LCD TVs in the living room and bedroom. It was very quiet - we never heard anyone above, below, or to the side of us.

Plenty of great restaurants nearby. Try the Shore Bird (great breakfast buffett) and Ocean House at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Both restaurants right on the beach. This Outrigger is about 2 blocks away - about a 5 minutes stroll. At the Outrigger Waikiki about 5 blocks away is Duke's. Also right on the beach. We had great meals at all three and enjoyed beautiful sunsets over desert. There is a Super Walmart about 6 or 7 blocks away. Go there to shop for food. A gallon of milk there was $4.59 versus $8.49 at Foodland. Some of Walmarts prices are the same as on the Mainland - $5.99 for a 24 pack of Coke. Overall, we really liked the unit except for the view. At least on the 9th floor you can see Diamond Head as you look over the top of the parking lot. The location of this resort is excellant. If you like to shop and spend big bucks, Kalakaua Ave (1 block away) is like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Waikiki Beach is very crowded. About 4 blocks west is a nice public park with a nicer and less crowded beach. If you want to be alone, try the pool. I only saw 3 people in it all week.

You should get a Welcome Packet when you check in. If you don't, ask. Good discount coupons for the above mentioned restaurants and much more.

Honolulu traffic is as bad as I've seen. All the good tours will pick you up at the Sheraton Bus Stop just a block away. Save the $175 a week parking fee at the resort and enjoy another tour!

A very nice remodeling job by Faifield/Wyndham. This resort faces the very exciting renewal of Lewers Street - plenty of shops and restaurants just outside the door. Of course, this is only a walk to Waikiki beach. The location is also only a block from Kalakaua Street where all of the best shops and restaurants in Waikiki take residence.

As far as the rooms, I stayed in a Presidential Suite on the 10th floor facing Lewers St and a very nice sideways view of the beach. The decorations/amenities were VERY nice - as it should be for a presidential suite. The washer/dryer unit looks like a new unit, but it does take a very long time to operate. I'm sure that Wyndham will do something about this, because enough people who tried to use it said the same thing.

Other than that, what an awesome location and very nice, even though we didn't spend much time in it. I will gladly provide pictures of our unit upon request.

We stayed here in May, 2007, eighth floor 2BD unit (with 7 people). Units were all nice and new, with decent amenities. Comparative to other Fairfield/Wyndham properties, this was better than most (likely because it was still brand new).

Our unit was on the east side of the building, in the south tower. While happy to be away from the noise and commotion of Lewers Street, the view was of a parking lot. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it was not that important, but if you are looking for an oceanfront resort, this is not it.

The location was otherwise fantastic. Located in the center of the new Beach Walk area, there were ample amenities as far as restaurants and shopping right there. Also, half a block from the main drag, easily within walking distance of all the other shops and restaurants that Waikiki has to offer.

Also only half a block from the beach, which was fairly easily accessible by going through the Outrigger resort.

Parking was $25 per day (unlimited ins and outs), so keep that in mind if you are renting a car, as the parking may cost more than your rental. It may be worth not renting for a full week, then renting only on a daily basis for a slightly higher rate (and avoiding parking charges).

Pool was small, but with the beach right there, we really didn't mind. No internet in the rooms (or at least ours), however, there is free wireless access in the open-air lobby area (which had nice couches and tables for a comfortable environment). There is also a computer room (with 3 computers, 2 with printers), which didn't command too long a wait time, and for which you could reserve times if you did not want to wait. Gym was pretty good. There was also a pool table, foosball, couple arcade games, and ping pong table (paddles were horrible), to pass some time or keep kids busy.

Washer/Dryer in the unit, though good brand, takes FOREVER (without exaggeration, more than 3 hours for a very basic load). It is a combined unit, so things take a long time. best to load up in the morning before you leave, or at night before bed.

All in all, pretty good, especially compared to other FF/WH resorts. Not a luxury 5-star reort though, if that is what you are looking for (hence my 4-star rating here).

Stayed here in April 2007. Stayed in a 2 bedroom for 10 nights. The decor was a little disappointing as the furniture was not very Hawaiian or tropical there were nice artificial flower arrangements and the bed covers had a floral sash/drape accross the foot of the bed but other that and a few island prints on the wall the decor was not very inspiring. The bifold door on the bedroom closet was difficult and opened in the opposite direction of convenient access. The washer/dryer unit was one unit and it took over 3 hours ( 3 hours 45 minutes) to complete one load and as it is one unit you can't wash one load while the other is drying) There is room in the closet for a stacking pair and that would have been better also you can't open the unit as soon as it is done you have to wait for it to "cook down " which takes another 15-25 minutes, just what you want to do when trying to pack or dress. No sense in trying to pack light if it takes this long to wash your clothes to wear them again.

I also stayed in a one bedroom for 5 nights and the decor was exactly the same right down to the pictures on the walls. The Kitchen is very well equiped with dishes, pans, etc. Be prepared for the shock of your life though when shopping for groceries in Waikiki Milk $7 to $8 a gallon (twice the price of gas)
