Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the 5th floor overlooking one of the hottest new hangouts in Waikiki. Perfect location, and floor for people watching. Would stay in same location, floor and unit next time around. Unfortunatley this is not an ultra luxury timeshare i.e. Hilton Las Vegas or Marriott Beach club however for location it cannot be beat. If you go in with the mindset that this is Waikiki and don't expect to stay in the unit all the time your stay will be awesome.

Negatives- Should have free parking for guests, and a heated pool. Washer and Dryer is one unit-very slow. not enough cupboards.

Positives- Location, staff, and size of unit.

We (4 people) stayed in one bedroom unit on the 7th floor facing a Sheraton garage (poor view). The condo was new, nicely equiped, and comfortable. There were 2 small balconies (not that useful), and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi and a separate shower. The bedroom had a comfortable king size bed, 2 night stands w/lamps, a flat screen TV, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. The living room had a couch w/full size bed, an entertainment center (flat TV, DVD, stereo), a coffee table and a lamp. There was a separate dining table w/4 chairs. There were 2 ceiling fans (fully controllable) in this condo, and a good fully controllable A/C system. The well equipped full kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, sink) had most of cabinets not used, but it looked good. There was a washer/dryer combo in a special closet, and also a vacuum cleaner. We felt almost like at home. Missing (in our opinion) - a portable plastic dish dryer (we never had enough dirty dishes to use a dishwasher), also shelves were missing in the bathroom for toothbrushes, shampoo, etc.

The resort has a relatively small pool w/quite cold water - we tried it once, but the ocean water was warmer. There is no free parking - valet only for $25/day. Additional free things: a computer room w/2 computers, an exercise room, a game room w/pool table, ping-pong, and other games, nice lobby and a pool deck - everything new and clean. Good location close to everything too. Altogether, almost 5 stars, but not quite in our opinion.

We had experienced a big pressure from the Fairfield people to attend a timeshare sale presentation.

Great location but disappointing units. We stayed in the Fairfield Hawaii in Febr. 07, shortly after opening while construction was still happening on the Waikiki Beach walk around it. This timeshare offering is very well situated in the heart of the Waikiki shopping district but the furnishings, amenities and decorations are below par. We stayed in a 2 BR unit which was poorly designed with a brute of an air conditioning unit which fan can not be controlled. Each time it would come on it would drown out conversation and TV. The cheap furnishings were already showing signs of wear. Painted, fake wood coffee table already scratched and chipped. Harsh cheap lights in kitchen and bathroom eliminate any ambience. No wall or screen separating the bathroom from the bedroom meant that you had to close the curtains even during the day [no sheers] to prevent users of the parking garage across the street from looking into your bathroom. The balconies are tiny and pretty useless with very noisy air conditioners blasting away. Only one thermostate in the second bedroom where the airco unit was built into the wall. Not a nice night rest. Cheap closet doors already felt tired on their tracks. I do not know what the developer had in mind and what kind of budget or pricing schedule he was working with but we came to the conclusion that the interior finishing has been done as cheaply as possible, which does not make sense for a high end location like the Fairfield Hawaii is situated on. Overall a 3 out of five.
