Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Anyone sold a Sunterra Resort?

Oct 17, 2008

If your ownership is deeded then yes, it will be pointless once you sell it as they specifically do not transfer in resale, and yes, the club will encourage whom ever buys it to re-convert it for a fee and a purchase of more points. Good luck selling (you'll get around 30 cents on the dollar), it is devalued from the start because the points drop off. I would have thought timeshare owners with Sunterra/Diamond Resorts would have started a class-action law suit for the clear devaluation that the club imposes by now. But no-one has...yet. This topic is more fun than The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Thanks.
