Sign on door says the Sands Timeshare will reopen in April 2007. Upon todays inspection, the heavy construction will not be dome by this month.

Also, additional assessments covering the period through Nov 2007 are expected from the deeded owners.

Closed since right after Wilma. Progress very very slow. If it opens before 12/07, it may beat the Fairfield Santa BArbara.

With purchase here, make sure title is clear, and all assessments have been paid.

Also, check with HOA to determine if maintance fees have changed, or will change with the addition of bank loans on the mortgage.

This was one of a very few SSL winners. It looks like it might become a gold crown or five star after renovations. Adjacent to the Hollywood Marriott. So....the HoJo ice cream is gone......

Hollywood Sands is open and is extremely nice. Renovations were completed in February 2008. We were there the 16th week in April 2008 and had a wonderful week.
