Marriott's Desert Springs Villas II

Considering timeshare purchase

I would like to hear owners opinion of the new Marriott timeshare points program. Is this program really better for owners than the old program was? Does this program favor owners or renters? What are the pros and cons of timeshare ownership vs being a renter?
