What happens when time share destination starts operating as a hotel

We for years have been going to The Ridge at Playa Grande and notice that there is turn over in people staying at the Ridge just about every 4 days. We understand that Solmar has started to treat Playa Grande and The Ridge as a hotel operation. What does that mean to our time share fixed weeks units?

We are running into the same problem. Renaissance is changing our timeshare 2 rooms into a hotel studio. what recourse do we have?
